I’m back in Germany! This time I’m in München! I am truly biased when it comes to pastries and desserts. For me, Germany has the best I’ve ever tried in the world so far. Needless to say I am happy to be back to satisfy my sweet tooth. 🙂
I went to Marienplatz exit Dienerstrasse. Directly diagonally across the Rathaus in blue words is a bäckerei named Richart. It’s the only bakery in this square. You can’t miss it! I bought a Germknödel krapfen (approx €2.40) and a Käsekuchen (approx €2.75).
I was told by my german friend that Germknödel krapfen (donut dumpling) is a traditional Bavarian holiday pastry. I really don’t know what’s in it but it’s full of creamy, sweet, and tasty goodness! Maybe a spiced plum marmelade with other things in it. Like a donut x 10. I could eat many of these! I recommend you to try this! And the käsekuchen (cheesecake) is as delicious as I remembered them. I love german cheesecakes. I learned the cheese used in them is called Quark. For me, Quark tastes better than using cream cheese (like the USA cheesecakes do). Guten Appetit! 🙂
