I’ve finally done it!!! I have made chocolate chip cookies that taste really good!! I’ve always had issues making really good CCC’s. Even if I read the recipe verbatim, they never tasted right to me. But now, I can cross this task off of my bucket list!! I feel so accomplished!! 😀 I made some with walnuts and without walnuts. When I said to myself, “I don’t need to buy chocolate chip cookies from the store anymore,” that’s when I knew I completed this task. This entire year I’ve been playing around with a lot of different chocolate chip recipes but the one that I decided to use and master was the one I found here on allrecipes.com. Enjoy! 🙂
So this is my first time making Snickerdoodles. I found the recipe in a cookbook that I got from the library: “How to be a domestic Goddess – Baking and Comfort cooking” by Nigella Lawson. I know what Snickerdoodles are supposed to look like and this isn’t it! The recipe instructed me to roll the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet. I thought once they baked they would spread out…..they didn’t. These are Snickerdoodle balls and they are a bit dry. Once again I’m confronted with a recipe that has too much flour for a cookie that’s supposed to be sugar sweet. I now have a new to bullet point to add onto my bucket list: Make really good sugar/snickerdoodle cookies!!!
